We are committed to ensure the compliance of our products with the legislation and chemical regulations in all countries in which we undertake business. This includes global chemical regulations and local consumer regulations.
National Inventories
In the Safety Data Sheet of our products, in Section 15, you can find if our products are in compliance with the global chemical inventories or not.
The current inventories are:
Chemical Registries
Should you need to know if our products are already registered in the Nordic Countries or any other country, please contact us. In the case our products are not yet registered, we will of course register them upon request.
REACH
The European regulations on the Registration, Evaluation and Authorization of Chemicals (REACH) came into effect on June 1, 2007. The principal objective of REACH is to improve the protection of human health and the environment from the risks that can be posed by chemicals. This is done by means of applied testing programs and risk assessment on the majority of the chemicals produced in European Union countries. REACH applies to substances manufactured or imported into the EU in quantities of 1 ton per year or more. It covers substances on their own, in a preparation or in an article, manufactured, imported, placed on the market or used as intermediates: covering all substances whether manufactured, imported, used as
intermediates or placed on the market, either on their own, in preparations or in articles, unless they
are radioactive, subject to customs supervision, or are non-isolated intermediates.
We fully support the objectives of this legislation.
The REACH legislation fits in well with our support for the Responsible Care ® initiatives of the chemical, lacquer and paints coatings industries. Because of the work we have undertaken on our product portfolio over the last five years, we do not consider REACH as a threat but rather as an opportunity.
Since the substances in our products do not all have the same registration deadlines, we cannot issue standard statements with regards to REACH for our product portfolio. Please contact us, and we will provide the relevant information.

GHS and CLP
GHS stands for Globally Harmonized System, and is a recommendation from the UN on how product safety information should be communicated in order to better protect the environment and the human health. GHS was originally published in 2003 and is known as the purple book. The 4th revised edition was published in 2011.
The EU refers to its version of GHS as the CLP Regulation (EC) No 1272/2008: Classification, Labeling and Packaging of chemicals. This document was published in the Official Journal on December 31st, 2008. It entered into force on January 20th, 2009.
The deadline for substance classification according to the new rules was December 1st, 2010, with a transition period until December 1st, 2012. For mixtures, the deadline will be June 1st, 2015. CLP does not take over all hazard categories from GHS CLP contains hazard categories not yet part of GHS
What is the influence on the Safety Data Sheets of our products ?
It is not possible to issue one GHS MSDS that is compliant everywhere in the world because:
All our SDS and labels will reflect this and will be updated to the local format with the latest information in due course.

End-consumer regulations and labels
Please do not hesitate to contact us if you would like to know if our products are suitable for contact with food or drinking water, if they fulfill the criteria of the well known regulations and ecolabels (French VOC regulation, German EMICODE label, German Blue Angel, Nordic Swan, etc.) or any other topic.
